What should be done when the EQUES app does not seem to work with the internet connection?
Check the Wi-Fi signal strength displayed on the LCD screen.
Check the distance between the VEIU device and the router. Adjust accordingly if the router is too far. Ideally, it should be within 16-feet / 5-meter distance only.
Make sure your router is set to have the SSID broadcast option checked.
VEIU can only support 2.4GHz (802.11g) Wi-Fi and will not be able to find Wi-Fi on 5.0GHz. If you see the Wi-Fi network with “5G” suffix, you are more likely connecting to a 5G network and will need to adjust accordingly so VEIU would work. In case you are unsure what kind of network you have (as in cases where you have modified the network name), you can try to connect first and observe what will happen. If your router is dual-band, turn off 5.0G then select 2.4G. After binding is successful, you may turn on the 5.0G band again and it will not affect the device connection.
If you need to set the router band, set the Wi-Fi password to empty (that is, no password required). You may create the password back after you have successfully setup the router band.
