VEIU's hardware supports two levels of sensitivity that can be set under "settings". Since temperature is a factor towards the performance of the motion sensor, only an approximation of the distance it can cover can be given, which is 2-3 meters based on testing standard. It is less sensitive during the summer and more sensitive in cold weather. You have the option to set to high sensitivity during the summer and low sensitivity during the winter, such as this:
- Above 25°C (77°F), sensitivity should be set to high, and the motion sensor can detect motion up to 2 meters.
- Below 25°C (77°F), sensitivity should be set to low, and the motion sensor can detect motion up to 2 meters.
Conversely, using low sensitivity in summer time, when temperature is around 35°C, the range is less than 50 cm. Using high sensitivity during the winter, when temperature is around 0°C, the range is around 4 to 5 meters.
